Testing the Littlest Higgs Model with T-parity at the Large Hadron Collider
نویسنده
چکیده
In the framework of the littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT), we study the production processes of T-even (T+) and T-odd (T−) partners of the top quark at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We show that the signal events can be distinguished from the standard-model backgrounds, and that information about mass and mixing parameters of the top partners can be measured with relatively good accuracies. With the measurements of these parameters, we show that a non-trivial test of the LHT can be performed. We also discuss a possibility to reconstruct the thermal relic density of the lightest T-odd particle AH using the LHC results, and show that the scenario where AH becomes dark matter may be checked.

Little Higgs Models and T Parity
Little Higgs models are an interesting extension of the Standard Model at the TeV scale. They provide a simple and attractive mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking. We review one of the simplest models of this class, the Littlest Higgs model, and its extension with T parity. The model with T parity satisfies precision electroweak constraints without fine-tuning, contains an attractive dark...
متن کاملPhenomenology of the Littlest Higgs with T-Parity
Little Higgs models offer an interesting approach to weakly coupled electroweak symmetry breaking without fine tuning. The original little Higgs models were plagued by strong constraints from electroweak precision data which required a fine tuning to be reintroduced. An economical solution to this problem is to introduce a discrete symmetry (analogous to R-parity of SUSY) called T-parity. T-par...
متن کاملPhenomenology of Littlest Higgs Model with T-parity: including effects of T-odd fermions
We study the collider phenomenology of a Littlest Higgs model with T-parity. We first stress the important role of the T-odd SU(2) doublet fermions (introduced to make the model T-parity invariant) in high energy scattering processes, such as qq̄ → W HW H where W± H are the T-odd partners of W -bosons. Because the mass of the T-odd SU(2) doublet fermions cannot be too heavy to be consistent with...
متن کاملPhenomenology of Mirror Fermions in the Littlest Higgs Model with T-Parity
Little Higgs models are an interesting alternative to explain electroweak symmetry breaking without fine-tuning. Supplemented with a discrete symmetry (T-parity) constraints from electroweak precision data are naturally evaded and also a viable dark matter candidate is obtained. T-parity implies the existence of new (mirror) fermions in addition to the heavy gauge bosons of the little Higgs mod...
متن کاملPhenomenology of the Little Higgs model with X-Parity
In the popular littlest Higgs model, T-parity can be broken by Wess-Zumino-Witten (WZW) terms induced by a strongly coupled UV completion. On the other hand, certain models with multiple scalar multiplets (called moose models) permit the implementation of T-parity such that it is not broken by the WZW terms. Here we present a concrete realization of such a model, and discuss the phenomenology a...
